Rose Thanks

Hi there 🙂 With the nice spring weather we’ve been having, I’ve been in a flowery mood. I was going through my digi stamps and found this gorgeous rose from Make It Crafty, another store that has sadly closed. I colored it up with my Copics, then fussy cut it out. For the background, I did a faux embossing technique, by diecutting a background, then laying it over a piece of paper in the same color. I matted it with black, then cut the sentiment out in black as well. After attaching the rose, and the sentiment, I added a scattering of small black rhinestones to finish the card off. Although it’s a simple card, I’m loving the subtle detail in it!!

I’d like to enter this in the following:

  1. This is absolutely beautiful, and such a great idea to use a die cut background rather than embossing. I love it! Stunning image from a store I miss! Thanks for joining in our SPECIAL ANNIVERSARY challenge at Passion for Markers!
