40th Anniversary

Hi there 🙂 I’m continuing to use stuff that’s been sitting around 🙂 With this card, I used a BuzzCraft stamp set, that I’ve had for forever, and have no idea where I got it from!! I’m thinking it was either a challenge prize, or I received it as part of a swap in my SwapBot days. It can still be found for sale, as I dug it up here. I stamped the image with grey ink, and dug my seldomly used pencils up and colored it in. Then I used another part of the stamp set, and stamped a strip of Congratulations across the top. The background seemed too plain, so gave me the idea to go digging again, and I came up with a simple heart stencil. I finished it off with a line of red gems (really, they are red!) on either side of the sentiment strip – perfect for a ruby anniversary. I cut the 40 with some dies that were still in the package, and popped it on with foam dots.

I’d like to enter this in the following:

  1. The lovely muted background with the hearts looks great to compliment the sweet and cute couple and love the row of Congrats between the gems! Thanks for sharing with us at We Love Stamping February challenge!

  2. I love it when card makers customize their cards and this is no exception! I am sure the recipient loved their personal card. Beautiful creation!
