Dahlia Get Well

Hi there 🙂 It’s been feeling so spring-y around here, that I really felt like getting flowery!! When I feel flowery, the first thing I think of is Power Poppy!! This gorgeous, supersize Dahlia digital stamp was just perfect for my mood!! I colored it up with my Copics, then cut it out.

Dahlias come in so many beautiful colors, but one of my favorites is the yellow and pink combo which I used for the inspiration for this. I wanted to keep the card style simple, and decided to go for a CAS one layer card, with only a simple die cut and a few sequins to accent the bright bloom. A stamped “get well” sentiment was the perfect greeting to go with this cheerful blossom 🙂

I’d like to enter this in the following:

  1. That’s a very beautiful card, this dahlia is gorgeous as well as your colouring. Unfortunately you may have missed that we are asking for one layer cards for this challenge at Less is More and I can count 2 layers with the fussy cut dahlia as well as the pretty grey cut-out background. Sadly, that means that this lovely card cannot be considered for a showcase or a prize. Thanks for sharing in our gallery and we do hope you will join us again. xx

  2. When I think of floral, I think of Power Poppy too! Gosh this is beautiful! Fantastic colouring and a perfect card design for this bold image. I love your die cut behind the image and the sequins just add a dash of fun. Fabulous! Thanks for sharing this with us at Penny’s!
