Butterfly Bow

Hi there 🙂 Wow, May is sure flying by….of course, for those of us working from home, time seems to have lost all meaning, and it’s hard to keep track of the time. Hopefully everyone is staying safe, sane and smart 🙂 This is my last inspiration post for this month’s Ching-Chou Kuik Facebook challenge. Our theme this month is Embossing – Wet, Dry or Both. The DT was challenged to an extra theme this week, an that is to make a shaped card. It’s been a while since I’ve made a bow card, and I have a special friend’s birthday coming up, so this seemed a great time to dive in and make one of these amazing cards. I used the pattern from Sandra’s Scrapbooking that I got a few years ago….lucky I did, since the store is now closed. I used the image Fern and Butterfly, and colored it up with my Copics, then cut it out with a pretty oval die.

I set the image aside and went to work with assembling the rest of the card. In keeping with our embossing theme, I found a fern stamp and used this and clear embossing powder to dress up some plain green card stock. I used this and a subtle pink stripe paper to form the bow. I attached the image, and a stamped and embossed sentiment, then went to work with embellishing. I found some perfect color flowers in my stash and arranged them, along with die cut fern leaves, around the image and peeking out from the bow loops. I hope the recipient will love this card as much as I do….and yes….it will be hand delivered, not mailed!!!

I’d like to enter this into the following challenges:
