Spring Wings

Good morning 🙂  I have a spring-y card for you today.  It’s slowly starting to feel like spring here, even though Mother Nature decides to dump a bunch of snow on us every once in awhile!! It melts fast, though, which leaves a mucky, slushy mess…..but I’m not complaining!!  Anyway, back to my card!  I used a gorgeous image from Ching-Chou Kuik, called Spring Charm.  I colored her up with my Copic and SN markers, using a white gel pen for a few tiny accents.  I was a bit stumped as to the layout for my project, until I came across this sketch, from Feeling Sketchy.

Sketch #189

I flipped the sketch on it’s side to use it, and went to work 🙂  I die cut a butterfly border from a scrap of orange CS, and adhered it to the edge of the image.  I found the lace and the ribbon in my stash, and after placing them, added a sentiment on a small tag, a bow, and a pretty Petal Lu flower 🙂   All the layers are popped up with dimensional foam to give the card a little more interest (and add to the shipping fees, lol).

I’d like to enter this in the following challenges:
