Joy to the World

Good morning 🙂  As we dig out from massive amounts of snow, I’ll share with you my inspiration card for the new challenge over at C.R.A.F.T.  Our theme is Christmas, and we have the wonderful Lacy Sunshine sponsoring us 🙂

Prize is 3 digital stamps from the Lacy Sunshine store.

I used Gertie Sweet Urchin for my card, and colored her up with Prismacolor pencils.  It’s been awhile since I did anything in a black and white monochrome, and I love how it gives this a more vintagey look than it already had!!

The background paper is from a pad that I got shortly after Christmas at Michael’s.  One of their Hot Buy pads, and it has quite a few really nice prints in it.  I also fussy cut the sentiment from another sheet from the same pad.  I cut the flowers, using a Cottage Cutz die, and after shaping and layering them, I added the centers with Liquid Pearls and some silver Stickles.  The silver gives just a touch of sparkle, a necessity on a Christmas card 🙂

It’s great to be done another Christmas card for the year, and this time, I know exactly who the recipient is!!

I’d like to enter this in the following challenges:

ABC Christmas Challenge – E,F,and G are for Embossing, Frill and Glitter – I did the glitter touches 🙂
