Love

Hi there 🙂  I got a few cards done during the week, so it’s time to start blogging them!!!  I used the beautiful “Love” image, from Ching-Chou Kuik for this card.

I colored her with my Copic and SN markers, then partially fussy cut her out, so she flowed out of the heart frame that I cut on my Cricut.  To dress the frame up a bit, I scored it, then used Liquid Pearls at the intersecting points of the scores, and around the edges.  I found a piece of ribbon in the perfect green, to coordinate with both the image, and the background paper, which was a freebie in a magazine some years ago.  I also added a strip of lace before diving into my treasured flower supply.  I found some blooms that really complemented the whole card layout, and I actually USED them!!! I’ve been hoarding so many of my supplies, that it is definitely time to start using them every once in a while.  Even the freebie papers from the magazines (not to say anything about my other DP), have been sitting unused for eons.  I keep telling myself that it’s not like there isn’t enough paper in a pad or a sheet to make a card or two with, and still have some left over…..but I haven’t been listening to myself!!! After adding a few drops of Liquid Pearls in the corners, and matting everything with pink, before putting it on the card blank, I called this card done 🙂  I left it without a sentiment, so that way it can be used for any number of occasions 🙂

I’d like to enter the following challenges with this:

  2. Susan, what a stunning card you have made here which fits perfectly the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Inspiration and Challenge Blog Monthly Challenge this month of “All you need is love”. It does feel good when you use up papers you already have. I’ve been doing this for a few years now and my papers are dwindling dramatically. Thank you for entering and best wishes in the draw. Kym (Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Design Team Leader).
